It’s finally here—September 2024 card drop day!
I’ve poured my heart into this release over the past few months, filling 62 pages with vibrant paintings, and assembling 15 unique designs out of those illustrations. But here’s the twist: not every design made the cut!
The selection process
So, what was my secret recipe for choosing the final designs? Each card had to pass my three-part test:
- Is it bursting with color?
- Will it bring a smile and spread love?
- Could it become a classic, a perennial favorite?
Only the cards that ticked all these boxes earned their spot in this collection.
Today, I’m thrilled to unveil the final designs. Add a pop of cheer to your shop with these cards!
My inspiration
My toddler. Or rather, painting side by side with him. A lot of my ideas and even first sketches came naturally during this family play time. Seeing art and life through his eyes, and through my changed eyes as a mom, has made me embrace simplicity, fun art, colorful art.
It finally helped me connect the values I have always held in my heart, such as gratitude, appreciation, looking for the positive, seeking out joy and happiness in your life, spreading love and kindness with sincerity... with an art style that can translate those feelings.
When a customer picks up my card, my goal is that the color choices, the shapes I use and even the curves in my brush stroke create an instantaneous feeling to uplift and brighten the mood. In their tiny little way, I want my greeting cards to be part of spreading the good in the world.
Improvements & what's to come
FYI: I’ve extended the illustrations to the backs of the cards this time around, adding an extra touch of fun and visual interest. You’ll be able to preview both the front and back designs in the listings for each card. I hope between the vetting process for deciding which designs make it into the release, and the designs extending to the back of the card, you can tell just how invested I am in providing a terrific product to you and strengthening my collection with every release.
Speaking of: If any of the designs appeal to you and sell well for your customers, you'll have lots more of that type to choose from in the January release. I plan on expanding on all the different concepts that I introduced in this release (pets, hand-written font, food, numbered birthday cards, etc.) with the next release. I have big news for that January release, too! Stay tuned :).
And now: Happy shelf stocking!
